Benoit Drolet (Edmonton)

Benoit Drolet Rocky Mountain Dancesport Grand PrixOriginally from Montreal, Canada, Benoit has traveled to over 30 countries competing, demonstrating, lecturing and adjudicating. The competitive side of his career brought some amazing moments, notably making final in Blackpool, and making the final at the European Championship in 1993 representing England, something he is extremely proud of. In 1999, Benoit joined the acclaimed show Burn The Floor and went on touring for over a year throughout Australia, Europe and America. Benoit ran most of the Ballroom rehearsals as well as tweaking choreographies and coaching couples for the show. Accomplishments

France Mousseau (Montreal)

France Mousseau - Rocky Mountain Dancesport Grand Prix CalgaryFrance Mousseau is among the most respected dancesport professional in the World. She has been finalist at all of the major dancesport competitions, including Blackpool, the World Ten-Dance Championships and is ten-time Canadian Professional Latin Champion. France judges and trains many of the World’s top dancers today.

 

 

 


Diana Lefebvre (Calgary)

Diana, a native Albertan has invested 20 years in the development of dancesport in Alberta. Starting off in the Arthur Murray chain, Diana eventually became a Canadian 10 Dance Finalist and was the first Albertan to represent Canada at a World Professional Championship. She is the co-director of Dancesport MD with her husband Martin Lefebvre and together they represented Canada for 6 years, including at the World Professional Latin Championships in Innsbruk, Austria. She is proud to have sent many dancers to finals week of So You Think You Can Dance CANADA, including 2 dancers who made the top 20. She has trained many Canadian finalists and has sent 4 couples to World Championship Dancesport events. Diana is also the creator and owner of Burlesquercise, an award winning fitness company in Calgary.

Michel Guimond

Michel started ballroom dancing in Laval, QC and competed as a junior amateur in 1969. He became a professional competitor in 1980. Michel has always been active in the dance community. He has served as President of CDTA Alberta, Chairman for CDTA — BC Branch Ballroom Division, Chairman of judges in countless Canadian Closed Amateur and Professional Championships as well as International Adjudicator. He is the Canadian Dancesport Federation’s Scrutineer Examiner. He is co-producer of The Vancouver Challenge Cup and Sunday Funday events.


Anya Katsevman (New York)

anya_smlAnya Katsevman has starred in the touring shows of Dancing with the Stars and Burn the Floor, she has performed for U.S. President Barack Obama and performed with El Gran Combo at Madison Square Gardens. Anya is an undefeated 2 time World Salsa Champion On2, and has won Salsa Championships and performed all over the world. She is a trained dancer and coach on the International Latin dance circuit and is currently a judge of the World Salsa Summit.

Ron Montez

Ron Montez is one of the most respected personalities in the dance business.  He previously held title as the 7-time undefeated United States Professional Latin Champion.  He achieved 4th place in the World’s Professional Latin Championships held at Royal Albert Hall in London.  He has reached the final of the prestigious British Championships in Blackpool, England.  Ron is recognized as a World class adjudicator, dance coach and choreographer in both American and International styles.

Ron was the co-host expert commentator for the PBS television show “Championship Ballroom Dancing”, which was hosted by Rita Moreno, Juliet Prowse, Barbara Eden and Sandy Duncan, Jasmine Guy.  Ron is now on “America’s Ballroom Challenge” most recently with host Jean Louisa Kelly.


Kimberly Donaghy

 

Kimberly has been a Professional Ballroom Dance Instructor since 1980. For 18 of those years she was the Professional Instructor for the University of Calgary Ballroom Dance Club. She also taught dance for the Phys Ed departments at many Senior and Junior High Schools in the City of Calgary.

As a competitor she participated in both American and International Style. Her focus was International Latin where she was a Semi-Finalists at the Canadian Closed Championships. In 2005 she was the World Champion in the Diamond Showcase Division at the World Country and Western Dance Championships in Nashville.

Kim is very involved with adjudicating dance competitions. She is a Certified A+B+C+D+ Adjudicator with the CDF.

As a Dance Consultant she teaches Latin, Ballroom and Country dancing at numerous studios and venues. Her current passions are teaching Zumba(certified), BURLESQUERCISE and most recently LaBlast (certified).


Aleksandra Antonova

Aleksandra Antonova, originally is from Ukraine. She is a Professional Ballroom Choreographer, dance teacher and Licensed adjudicator with more than 12 years of teaching, coaching and judging experience. Aleksandra has been dancing from six years old. Aleksandra has been winner and finalist of many Ukrainian and International competitions. Her students have become winners of Ukrainian and European dance competitions. In 2011 Aleksandra received the award “The best coach of the East Region of Ukraine”. In 2011 Aleksandra Antonova moved to Canada, were successfully improves her knowledge and skills. She is organizer of workshops, dance trainings with Top level teachers. Aleksandra is coordinator and owner of “Levita Dance” studio in Calgary.
